Traveling to War Zones

We read Peter Greenberg’s Feb. 8 article about traveling to war zones with great enjoyment and amusement. It was humorous as well as providingf important information. As our organization sponsors several research expeditions to Greneda, his last two paragraphs struck the strongest chord. We recruit volunteers to help scientists conduct research, and there are several projects on Greneda. Last summer many of the volunteers who joined us told us that they did so not only out of strong interest in the research subject, but also out of great curiosity about what Greneda would be like. I hope that his article stimulates more people to put aside whatever fears they might be harboring about the island and to travel there.
