Unraveling of Iran-Contra-White House Tangle

Reagan’s “It’s possible to forget” ploy is typical of his whole clique’s evasive hypocrisy in dealing with the rest of the world.
Very possibly many people are taken in by this latest cutesy cop-out as they have so often been in the past, for of course few of us can recall what we did on some specific day years ago. However, anyone but a mental defective or a deliberate liar can remember making a major decision in a general time frame.
The question here is not on what exact day did President break his oath of office, defy the law of the land and flout the Constitution by approving the sale of arms to a sworn enemy nation. The exact “when” is of little moment. The vital question is, did he or didn’t he ? Such a momentous decision is simply not forgettable by a sane honest person.
