Aide to Abu Nidal Reported Killed
An aide to Palestinian terrorist Abu Nidal has been killed, the independent newspaper An Nahar reported Saturday.
The newspaper published a brief statement, attributed to Abu Nidal’s Revolutionary Council of Fatah, saying that on Feb. 22 Amin Khader Mohammed Tabet “fell a martyr on the soil of Palestine”--an indication the reported death occurred in Israel or Israeli-held territory.
Tabet, who joined the group in 1973, was described as a commander of the group, which Abu Nidal founded after breaking away from the mainstream Fatah organization headed by Palestine Liberation Organization Chairman Yasser Arafat.
