NEW NBC LINEUP FOR SATURDAYS

NBC on Monday announced the renewal of “227” and “Amen” for next season, and in the same breath said it would be taking them off the Saturday schedule temporarily next month to try out two other comedy series.

“Me and Mrs. C,” which ran for six weeks last summer, will rejoin the prime-time schedule April 11 at 9:30 p.m., replacing “Amen.” Peg Murray and Misha McK return as, respectively, a white widow in her 60s and the black student she has taken in as a boarder.

“Sweet Surrender,” starring Mark Blum and Dana Delaney as a married couple trying to juggle their careers and family life, will debut April 16 and then will join the Saturday lineup April 18 at 8:30 p.m., replacing “227.”
