Top prize winner at the 1986 Leipzig Film Festival, this film--written and directed by Wolfgang Pfeiffer--documents the dreams and obsessions of a Chicago cabbie who fought in World War II and was one of the American soldiers to encounter the Red Army at the Elbe.
