Senior Citizen Housing Projects Open in Culver City, Carlsbad

Two senior citizen housing developments from separate developers have opened in Culver City and Carlsbad, with rentals ranging from $578 to $3,185 per month.

The $5-million, 97-room Studio Royale by Goldrich & Kest Industries, Culver City, offers hotel-like accommodations and services with shared dining facilities for $578 to $1,600 a month. It is at 3975 Overland Ave., Culver City, on the former back lot of MGM Studios.

The rental price includes three meals a day, linen service, daily housekeeping, beauty salon and a program of recreational and travel opportunities.

Developed by Health Care Group, San Diego, the 5.6-acre, 148-unit Las Villas de Carlsbad Retirement Community has efficiency units and one- and two-bedroom units renting for $665 to $3,185 per month. Included are two meals a day, weekly maid and linen service, cable TV and recreational amenities. The project is at 1088 Laguna Drive.
