Lloyd and Turnbull Win Doubles Final

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. —
Chris Evert Lloyd and Wendy Turnbull defeated Lori McNeil and Bettina Bunge, 6-1, 7-5, Saturday to win the $400,000 Plymouth womens’ team championship.
Lloyd and Turnbull trailed, 5-3, in the second set but broke McNeil in the ninth game. They fought off two set points against Lloyd’s serve in the next game and broke Bunge to take a 6-5 lead.
Lloyd and Turnbull each earned $115,000 and an automobile.
