Two brothers snowmobiling in a remote pass 13 miles east of Vail, Colo., were killed in a major avalanche, and their bodies were recovered several hours after a search began, authorities said. Nearly 100 members of search-and-rescue teams from surrounding counties were brought to the site by helicopter and tracked vehicles, said Summit County Sheriff Delbert Ewoldt. The victims were identified as Randy Nottingham, 36, and his brother, Steve Nottingham, 34, both of Avon. Tracks of three snowmobiles were found going into the avalanche area, but only one came out, officials said.
