The Lazers, with their newest losing streak at two games, will play host to the St. Louis Steamers tonight at 7:30 at the Forum.
Against the same team Sunday in St. Louis, the Lazers, after blowing a 4-1 lead, battled it out for 52 minutes beyond regulation play, a Major Indoor Soccer League record, before the Steamers eventually won, 5-4, with a goal 6 minutes 57 seconds into the fourth overtime.
The Lazers have the league’s worst record at 8-27. St. Louis has the second-worst, 13-24.
The Lazers signed last year’s goalkeeper and current assistant coach Mike Mahoney to a 10-day contract. Mahoney will back up Tim Harris, who replaced David Brcic, who broke his nose playing against the Kansas City Comets March 3.
