The Soviet Union has sent a group of performers on a tour of Israel for the first time since the Kremlin broke relations with Israel 20 years ago, an Israeli Foreign Ministry official said Wednesday. The Gypsy folklore group, which is part of the Moscow State Gypsy Theater, will give eight concerts during a 12-day stay. Foreign Minister Shimon Peres is scheduled to attend the first concert Saturday. The Soviet Union severed diplomatic ties with Israel after the 1967 Middle East war.
