“Trio,” the long-awaited country album by Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris, debuted impressively--at No. 38--on the Billboard magazine pop album chart. Look for this one to be in the Top 10 in a few weeks. Both Poison’s “Look What the Cat Dragged In” (No. 13) and Robert Cray’s “Strong Persuader” (No. 14) should be in the Top 10 in a week or two. It would be a first for both artists. Albums by two other unheralded artists--Expose’s “Exposure” (No. 27) and World Party’s “Private Revolution” (No. 39) are shooting up the chart. After a strong start, Bruce Willis’ “The Return of Bruno” is fading. It peaked at No. 14 and next week drops to No. 16. The Beastie Boys’ “Licensed to ill” is still the No. 1 album. On the singles chart, U2’s “With or Without You” jumped 20 places to No. 44. The band’s album, “The Joshua Tree” should debut high on the chart next week, possibly in the Top 10. Jody Watley’s “Looking For a New Love” (No. 26) is one of the fastest rising singles. Club Nouveau’s “Lean on Me” is the top pop single for the second straight week.
