“Odd Birds” (U.S.A., 1985, 8:30 p.m., Barnsdall Gallery Theater). Jeanne Collachia’s debut feature has a signally inappropriate flaw: This film about a young Chinese-American girl in the ‘60s, who aspires to the theater, contains some of the worst acting imaginable--despite the presence of Michael Moriarty, as a benevolent young church brother, to drag the whole average up. The soapily upbeat story line is no help, nor is the “Flashdance/Chorus Line” climax--but score a few points for decent intent.
