AFI FILM FEST: THE FINAL WEEK

“Street Trash” (U.S.A., 1987, midnight). A film about the few, the forgotten and the filthy who inhabit the seedy side of New York City. Film maker Jim Muro seriously errs in combining horror and comedy in this gruesome outing about an alcoholic elixir that inflicts horrid deaths to its Skid Row imbibers. It’s a tasteless joke and a film so repugnant one wouldn’t even want to be in the same multiplex if it were on another screen.
