A hot line set up a day after the suicide deaths of four teen-agers in Bergenfield, N.J., will be in operation as long as it is needed, the town’s administrator said. In the first six days, the hot line received between 20 and 30 calls a day, most of them from teen-agers worried about friends, the administrator said, but the number of calls is now down to about a dozen a day. National attention was focused on the community six miles west of New York City when the teen-agers were found March 11 in a car, dead of carbon monoxide poisoning.
