Venice Town-House Development Named Magazine Project of the Year

Del Rey Colony, a $16-million, 54-unit Venice town-house development by Christiana Community Builders, San Diego, designed by Richardson Nagy Martin, Newport Beach, was named the Project of the Year in the second annual Builder magazine Spotlight marketing awards program.

The advertising agency for the project was Josh Freeman/Associates, Los Angeles, while public relations were handled by Carl Terzian Associates, Los Angeles.

Another California project received a grand award from the Washington, D.C.-based trade magazine. This was Alcala, San Diego, by Davidson Communities Inc., San Diego; designed by Krommenhoek/McKeown & Associates, San Diego; Evans & Conover, Solana Beach, advertising agency; Stoorza, Ziegaus & Metzger, San Diego, public relations.

A merit award went to Saltaire, Laguna Niguel, built by the A-M Co., Newport Beach, designed by the Berkus Group, Newport Beach; Green, Martin & Nevins, Costa Mesa, advertising agency, and Meg Waters, Trabuco Canyon, public relations.
