Fontana’s City Council has suspended without pay Treasurer Ron Hibble, 40, who is charged with four felony counts of perjury and fraudulent voting. San Bernardino County prosecutors contend that Hibble lied about his home address when he signed sworn election papers and voted in last November’s election. Hibble maintains that he lived at his Fontana home in a detached garage during the time that tenants lived in his home last year. The district attorney’s office, however, claims that he never occupied the home but lived in Grand Terrace. He is scheduled to be arraigned March 30.
