NBC’s “Nutcracker: Money, Madness and Murder” didn’t crack the top of the ratings with its first installment Sunday night. The A.C. Nielsen Co. ratings released Tuesday showed Part 1 of the three-part miniseries in 49th place, bested by CBS’ movie “Deadly Care” (16th), starring Cheryl Ladd, and ABC’s airing of the 1980 Burt Reynolds movie “Rough Cut” (43rd). The other two installments of “Nutcracker” will be included in next week’s ratings. Nevertheless, NBC won the week with an average prime-time rating of 16.8. CBS had 14.2 and ABC 13.5. NBC was also on top in the news ratings, winning with a 12.1 to CBS’ 11.4 and ABC’s 9.9. The complete Nielsen list appears on Page 9.
