David Frost will interview all major Democratic and Republican presidential candidates for a series of 13 hourlong television shows to begin airing in late November. Frost said Wednesday he hopes to devote an hour to each of the candidates, but he conceded that the exact format depends on the number of candidates he decides to interview. The interviews will be used as the basis for a 13-week series of stories in U.S. News & World Report magazine, which helped develop the series called “The Next President,” and a book. Frost conducted interviews with the 1968 presidential candidates in a series with the same title.
