Hermosa Beach : Strand Speed Limits Set

The City Council approved safety regulations directed at high-speed cyclists and skateboarders on the Strand during peak summer and weekend hours. The policies establish a 10 m.p.h. speed limit and require riders to walk bikes and skateboards through the pier area during crowded times.
Flashing safety lights will be installed between 10th and 15th street to signal enforcement of the walking rule.
