Sunny Weather Has Spring in Full Swing
Orange County got a sunny taste of spring Thursday as sparkling skies made light work of the winter doldrums and lured house-weary residents to wind-swept beaches and warm inland parks.
While breezes and temperatures in the cool 60s kept many beachgoers under wraps Thursday, the clear skies brought out bicyclists, strollers and a few hardy sunbathers determined to start work on their tans. Weekend beach temperatures will range from the high 60s to the low 70s with a little patchy fog in the night and morning hours.
Inland, where temperatures were in the 70s Thursday, shorts and tank tops were seen in abundance in the county’s parks.
Static pressure along the coast will keep the weather pretty much the same through the weekend and into next week, forecasters say.
Highs in the county on Thursday ranged from 64 degrees in Newport Beach to a high of 76 degrees in El Toro, with lows dipping to 37 degrees in San Juan Capistrano. Santa Ana had a high of 75 and a low of 48.
