Members of the United Auto Workers union at three General Motors Corp. plants in Pontiac, Mich., overwhelmingly ratified a local agreement, ending a four-day strike by 9,000 workers that halted truck and bus production. Members of Local 594 approved the agreement, which covers subcontracting to non-union firms and other local grievances, by a vote of 1,314 to 25, said Bob Schroeder, the local’s education director.
