Two candidates remain in the running for the presidency of Pasadena City College after the Board of Trustees interviewed five leading contenders last week.

Finalists for the post being vacated by John Casey are Bonnie James, assistant superintendent of administrative services at PCC, and Jack A. Scott, president of Cypress College in Orange County. A third finalist, Lawrence W. Tyree, president of Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Fla., dropped out of the race this week.

Board President Susanna Miele, board member Warren Weber and Harry Kawahara, president of the PCC Academic Senate, will conduct more interviews during the next two weeks. Miele said the new president may be announced in mid-April.
