If Gov. George Deukmejian wants to guarantee that the Japanese will continue to increase their technology lead over America, he has found just the right way to do it.
Stop funding the gifted and talented programs in state schools as of June 30.
That is a sure way to fine-tune the educational lead that the Japanese already have.
C’mon. There have to be budget cuts that won’t say sayonara to our leadership future.
