About $70-million worth of American-made computer equipment has been sold to Iran over the last three years, through contracts approved by the Commerce Department, Reagan Administration officials said. They emphasized, however, that the technology was of an elementary type and had no military applications. Meanwhile, the State Department dismissed reports that U.S. weapons continued to be sold to Tehran after secret shipments of armaments were disclosed last November.
