Lazers’ Slim Playoff Hopes on Line Against Sting

Share

The Lazers, on the brink of elimination from a playoff spot, will play host to the Chicago Sting tonight at 6 at the Forum.

With 11 games left, the Lazers (11-30) would be eliminated with another loss or a Wichita win. The Wings lost, 6-3, to Dallas Saturday night.

The Sting (21-22) will be without its all-time leading scorer, Karl-Heinz Granitza, who was suspended for the remainder of the season after quarreling with owner Lee Stern in front of other players after a March 21 loss. Stern imposed the suspension “because of insubordination to management and disrespect to fans and players.”
