--in other election news, an Anna, Tex. teen-ager has added school board membership to his list of extracurricular activities. Jim Jake Templin, 18, a senior at Anna High School, said he won by bridging the generation gap. “The older people turned out to vote for me. The parents turned out to vote for me. There weren’t a lot of kids who could vote,” he said. “I come from a very old family here in town. Everybody knew what I stand for.” He defeated retired teacher Bill Doudney in the race to complete the unexpired term of a board member who resigned.
