Chargers Have Mondays Off for a Change

For the first time since 1977, the Chargers will not appear on a “Monday Night Football” telecast, according to the team’s 1987 schedule released Tuesday.

In addition to the annual eight games against AFC West opponents, the Chargers will face St. Louis, Cincinnati, Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Indianapolis (twice), Houston and Pittsburgh.
