QUOTE OF THE WEEK: Remember those news reports last month about Billy Idol’s alleged girlfriend, Grace Hattersley, being arrested on drug charges as she and Idol were strolling through Greenwich Village? The charges against Hattersley were later dropped. But Idol has gone to great lengths to--ahem--clear up the confusion over his exact relationship with the woman. He recently issued a statement, explaining: “Grace Hattersley is a young lady I had known for a matter of days when this all began. But with all I’ve read about her in the papers recently, I now feel I know her a great deal better. . . . I can see I’ve left many of you aching for the answer to one overwhelming question: Who is really Billy Idol’s girlfriend? Well, her name is Perri Lister.” Idol was scheduled to begin his first tour in several years Friday in New Haven, Conn. Idol personally handled the stage design for the concerts, which a spokesman for Idol has described as “controversial and shocking.”
