Settlement of a consumer protection action against an automobile sales organization charged with misleading advertising practices was announced by the state attorney general’s office. The Downey Auto Center at 9500 Lakewood Blvd. had been charged with advertising vehicles for sale at specific prices, terms and conditions that were not met in actual sales practice. In the settlement, the company admitted no wrongdoing but agreed to sell advertised vehicles at or below advertised prices.
