Slain Woman’s Body Found on Army Base

FT. DIX, N.J. —
The charred body of a woman, found in a bin of burning trash on the Army base here, is believed to be that of a soldier reported missing by her unit, investigators said. They said that positive identification was awaiting an autopsy.
Firefighters found the body Sunday night, base spokesman Richard Dowling said. He said investigators believe the woman was slain elsewhere and left in the trash bin overnight.
