Woody Herman Now Listed in Fair Condition

DETROIT —
Big-band leader Woody Herman was in fair condition Monday in Sinai Hospital’s cardiac intensive care unit, where he has been since March 26, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Herman, 73, was admitted to the hospital suffering from effects of medication taken for high-altitude sickness he suffered during a tour through Colorado and Utah, his manager, Tom Cassidy, said in Woodstock, Ill.
