Micro General Posts Fourth-Quarter Loss

Micro General, an Irvine maker of parcel shipping systems and postal scales, said that had a $6,000 loss for the fourth fiscal quarter ended Dec. 28, compared to a $266,000 loss the prior year. Sales for the period rose slightly to $1.12 million, a 2.57% increase from $1.09 million for the same period a year earlier.

For the full fiscal year, the company had net income of $4,000, compared to an overall loss of $432,000 the prior year. Sales jumped by 10.7% to $4.7 million from $4.2 million.
