The California Lottery today introduces a new Lotto game, aimed at generating more business among those who do not want to bother with the chore of picking their own numbers. The new game, Quick Pick, features a computer that randomly selects six numbers between 1 and 49 for players. Quick Pick is designed to make playing easier and save time, lottery officials said. The computers can generate six random numbers for up to five different games in less than seven seconds. Players who want to choose their numbers can still do so, lottery Director M. Mark Michalko said. He said the new game was introduced because “many people are still confused about how to play Lotto.”
