Neighbors Outraged by School Expansion
A proposal for eminent domain was voted March 2 by the Board of Education for the expansion of Berendo Junior High School.
The board’s appraisers and the private consultant representing the school district have harassed and made statements with racial overtones. Some of our neighbors have been told that they would have to move in 90 days.
Property owners and tenants have to unite to stop the block-busting attitude of the Board of Education.
I would like to thank Sam Hall Kaplan for the excellent article.
