The Region : Deaf, Partially Blind Man Being Sought

Police are looking for a deaf and partially blind man who wandered away from his Watts area home last week after saying that he was going to take a bus ride. Anthony Quinn Jones, 21, was last seen Thursday. “He has wandered off before . . . but he’s always found someone at the end of the line to help him call home,” said his mother, Idonia Jones. Los Angeles Police Detective Glen Day said the man had not been located by a check of institutions, hospitals and jails. The missing man cannot speak, but knows some sign language. Jones is black, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 140 to 150 pounds and has a mustache and sparse beard. He has four lower front teeth missing. When he disappeared, he was wearing blue and gray checkered Bermuda shorts, a lavender shirt with black stripes and gray tennis shoes.
