High-flying “Legal Eagles” debuts on the Billboard magazine videocassette rental chart at No. 8 this week. It may soon wing its way to the top, toppling “Top Gun,” which is still the rental and sales chart leader. Another challenger for rental chart supremacy, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” entered the chart low--No. 38 on chart with 40 places--but look for “Ferris” to vault into the Top 10 next week. “Soul Man,” which debuted at No. 16 on the rental chart, also appears on its way to the Top 10. “Tough Guys,” a surprise rental hit, keeps getting bigger. It’s up five notches to No. 6.
