The Fresno Philharmonic finally has a permanent music director and conductor. Andrew Massey was named to the post Tuesday by the Fresno Philharmonic Assn. after a yearlong search. Massey, who is associate conductor of the San Francisco Symphony orchestra, has spent a good part of this season in Fresno as artistic adviser and principal guest conductor. Signing a three-year contract, Massey assumes conducting duties next year, replacing Philip Greenberg.
