A handyman was arraigned in Sacramento Municipal Court in the murders of six young women whose bodies were found on properties where he had lived or worked. Judge John V. Stroud appointed Public Defender Kenneth Wells to represent Morris Solomon Jr., 43, and ordered Solomon to return May 19 to enter a plea. Police said at least six other missing women fit the general profile of the women Solomon is accused of killing. A helicopter equipped with an infra-red scanner is being used to survey homes where Solomon worked, searching for possible graves.
