Benjamin Johnson has been named executive vice-president and general manager for Ducommun Data Systems, one of three electronic distributors owned by Cypress-based Ducommun Inc. Johnson is replacing Ron Jacobs, who resigned in November.

Johnson, 50, started with Ducommun in 1983 as senior vice-president of marketing for Kierulff, the company’s largest electronic distributor. He also has been president of R. G. Wallace, a distributor of electronic hardware and fasteners to aerospace and airline industries, which merged with Kierulff last year.
