Century City : UCLA Engineering School Fete

Donald J. Atwood, executive vice president of General Motors and president of GM Hughes Electronics, will speak at the UCLA School of Engineering and Applied Science’s Recognition Dinner on May 8 at the Century Plaza.

Ann Karagozian, assistant professor in the UCLA department of mechanical, aerospace and nuclear engineering, will receive the TRW Award for Innovative Teaching.

Monique Cherie Willard will be honored as the school’s outstanding candidate for a bachelor’s degree, Hsi-Bang Tang will be named the outstanding candidate for a master’s degree and Warren Bicknell Mori will be honored as the outstanding doctoral candidate.

Crump Prizes for excellence in medical engineering will be awarded to Irving Weinberg, Dagan Feng and Daniel Valentino.
