Amtrak Reported Ready to Suspend Montreal Train

MONTPELIER, Vt. —
Amtrak plans to suspend indefinitely its Montrealer train, which serves 200 passengers a day between New York City and Montreal, because of the condition of privately owned track, Sen. Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vt.) said Sunday. An Amtrak spokesman had no comment.
