Pleasanton federal prison officials repeatedly threatened to kill her, Dorinda Lopez said tearfully in San Francisco federal court as she sought to explain why her inmate-lover, Ronald McIntosh, rescued her in a dramatic helicopter escape last Nov. 5. Lopez, 37, who was serving a 50-year term for bank robbery, testified that Warden Rob Roberts was the first to threaten her in 1985 after she complained about conditions in the co-ed prison and said she was going to tell investigators that money had been misappropriated. She said one guard brandished a knife and another gave her a can of Coke that contained glass shards.
