Kentucky Derby winner Alysheba, runner-up Bet Twice and third-place finisher Avies Copy arrived at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore to prepare for the 112th running of the Preakness Stakes May 16.

Trainer Jack Van Berg broke with Preakness tradition when he put Alysheba in stall No. 18 instead of stall No. 40, which is traditionally reserved for the Derby winner. Van Berg said he wanted Alysheba in No. 18 because that is the same stall Gate Dancer occupied before he won the Preakness for the trainer in 1984.
