All ages really cut the rug Fridays and Saturdays, from 11:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. with “Rockin’ Bowl.” Top 40 music is piped in over the PA system, and--for $6.50--it’s all you can bowl. If you bowl a strike while you’re rockin’ and rollin’, you can win concert tickets, record albums, T-shirts and stuffed animals.

Other features: The King’s Table is the Westminster Lanes’ own nightclub. It has cocktails and dancing. Swing music plays Friday and Sunday nights, and live bands play Saturday nights.

Nestled inside this alley with its beautiful green lanes is the Cafe Beignet, a trendy Cajun cookery run by Wolfgang Puck protegee Judy Binder. A jukebox and neon signs complete the party feel.

Other features: a cocktail lounge and a pro-shop, with employees who give advice.

Hours: Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m. until midnight.

Pepy of Pepy’s coffee shop serves good diner fare. Trained as a gourmet chef, he’ll also whip up a fancy feast on request. On Sunday and Thursday nights, there’s live harp music while you dine.

Does bowling make you want something spicy and then something cool and creamy? Then the South Bay is the right place for you. Bobby’s is their Persian restaurant and Ice Cream Circus is their ice cream parlor.
