Antonin Scalia, the newest member of the Supreme Court, earned $28,750 last year moonlighting as a teacher and speech-maker, according to a financial disclosure report. It indicated that Scalia’s net worth at the end of 1986 was between $120,000 and $285,000, placing him near the middle of the nine-member court in terms of wealth. Justice Lewis F. Powell Jr. once again was the court’s richest member, listing assets of between $3.7 million and $6.4 million. Justice Thurgood Marshall reported the smallest assets, a savings account worth between $15,000 and $50,000.
