John J. Telnack will succeed Donald F. Kopka, who is retiring June 1, as Dearborn, Mich.-based Ford Motor Co.’s vice president-design. Joseph A. Kordick, general manager of Ford’s parts and service division, also will become a vice president, while retaining his present responsibilities.

Telnack was chief of the design team credited with creating Ford’s Taurus-Sable line of cars.
