From Reuters
BEIJING —
A peasant and his wife in a village in the southeast China province of Jiangxi spent a sleepless night with a rare leopard under their bed, China Daily said Wednesday.
It said the husband was awakened at midnight by a noise he thought was a burglar. Switching on the light, he found the leopard under the bed licking an injured paw.
The frightened couple fed their guest chickens and ducks in the morning before caging him with the help of other villagers.
