Jonathan Boyer, who was the United States’ first serious Tour de France challenger, will be one of the professional riders in the Redlands bicycle race, which starts today and concludes Monday.
Boyer, who lives in Carmel, was the lone American riding with the world’s greatest cyclists before Greg LeMond, the 1986 Tour de France winner, arrived in Europe.
