Weintraub will not buy Cannon’s British studio.

Ken Kleinberg, president of the Weintraub Entertainment Group in Los Angeles, said the firm decided not to exercise its $25-million option price to acquire Elstree Studios in North London from Los Angeles-based Cannon Group. Kleinberg said that after evaluating the property, it was decided the price was “too high,” given its current and projected operating level.
