Water

I am deeply concerned about what I have been seeing lately. We have had very little rain this year and we are liable to have a water shortage later in the year.

When I see people out in their yards squirting heavy leaf droppings off into the gutter and down the street I cringe.

The water that stays on the lawn is OK, but walks, driveways and gutters waste great amounts even on a small yard.

Certain areas on some of the golf courses will stand 4 to 6 inches deep in water, indicating that some sprinklers are left on for extended periods of time.

Can you imagine, with all of the golf courses we have, how many gallons they will use in a season? An average of 15 minutes a day will maintain a lawn beautifully.

Please, people, consider these factors, and do something about it before we are faced with a real crisis.
